One of my jobs at Burke is making concept art for new products. We were biding for a customer that wanted a rocket theme playground to replace an aging structure. Rocket themes were really popular in the 60's because of the space program and the cold war. Only one major playground company had a standard rocket structure and we wanted to top it. This is what we came up with. Typically, for custom jobs like this
I'm given a long leash to be creative. When I'm done with the concept the real playground designers and engineers take over and make sure it's safe and meets budget. They will usually re-model the parts in Autodesk Inventor. Then I'm brought back in to create routing files for custom panels and finally make 3D renderings.

Here is another custom job I had a hand in.
